calendars: digital or old school book?

calendars: digital or old school book?

As I prepare to say farewell to 2012, there is one very important step I had to make – PURCHASE MY 2013 PLANNER!!  You may call me old school, but I like seeing my weekly schedule at a glance, I like making notes about what I have to do, I like flipping through pages to see when and where a meeting was, I like doodling in the margins and so on!

BlueSky Weekly/Monthly Planner

Last year, I made a quick purchase at the local Tar-jay but it turns out, I made a pretty good purchase! In fact, I ended up getting the same one I got last year again for next year- the 2013 version of course!  The BlueSky Weekly/Monthly Planner/diary (8×10).  I can look at a month in a glance or at a week in a glance with plenty of space to write, I have space to take notes and it has one of those ribbons to keep me on the right page!  For me it is exactly what I need.

While this is the one I decided to go with, there are SO many others out there for you to choose from!  See below for a few of my favorites!

Anyone who knows me, knows that I LOVE creative people who are able to think out of the box and have a little fun!

The holidays are no exception! My husband and I have enjoyed designing our own Christmas cards for several years now but only since our son was born have we taken it to the next level. Don’t get me wrong, we still love and can appreciate a “regular” Christmas card, but nothing makes our house light up quite like one that is creative and fun.

This year is our best card yet in my opinion, and while we aren’t quite ready to reveal what our theme is this year (we are mailing them this week), I thought I would share some fun designs I came across online!

This was our family card from last year….

Dyce was only about 7 months old so I had to hold him up and then my husband photoshopped me out!

Everyone knows the “Gangnam Style” song (and dance) by now.  If you don’t, click here to catch up.  It is now You Tube’s most viewed video of all time.  It is hard not to want to get up and dance to this catchy tune, even though most of the lyrics are not in English.  I tried to teach my husband the Gangnam style dance the other day.  That was pretty comical, and I am sorry to report that I do not have a video of that.

And in the spirit of the holidays, check out this awesome Christmas light display to the Gangnam Style song:
