Happy Birthday to us! And to celebrate we want to give gifts to YOU!
We are running giveaways ALL MONTH LONG! Be sure to keep up with us on Facebook, Instagram @sunnyslideup, and here on the blog (check out the sidebar to subscribe by emails if you haven’t already) – where we will be announcing giveaways and winners.
Before we get to the giveaways, we would like to take a moment to thank all of our wonderful friends, family and fans for making this blog such a success. We have had a HUGE first year and we look forward to seeing what the future holds for Sunny Slide Up!
Now, technically we have been going at this blog a little over a year, but it took us a few months to get up on our feet and find our way. So we decided to declare October as our official birthday month!
Have a look at some stats from our last year…

We have to be honest here. We owe a lot of our success to chicken pot pies. The blog post Heather did back in October of last year with the recipe blew up on Pinterest. It has been nuts to watch it go “viral” in a sense. If you google “chicken pot pie cupcakes” now you will find Sunny Slide Up right there with Betty Crocker. And they really are delicious. If you haven’t tried the recipe yet, you should!
What will the next year bring? Well, Jenn is having a baby and Mandi is having a wedding – so look for some fun posts on those topics!
Now, who’s ready for some giveaways????
…. stay tuned later today 🙂

Hi guys….yes, I still write here. Sorry for the crickets you have been hearing every Tuesday but working a full time job and preparing for a baby doesn’t leave much time for anything else!
As much as I wanted to convince myself that I could do everything….and do it well (wife, mother, employee, friend, blogger)….it just hasn’t worked out that way. So, with my second baby due pretty much anytime now I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to go ahead and give into the reality of my (lately) underachieving lifestyle and call it a day. So, this is me signing off for a while.
I’ll be back….so don’t worry. I just need to focus on family and less on everything else for a bit. We are all so happy that Stella will be joining us on the blog during my absence. She is a dear friend and lives the type of life that many of us only dream about!
Also, I posted a few images from my baby shower on my personal blog today, so feel free to hop over and check out some of the details!
Love you guys and I can’t wait to share photos of Baby Girl when she arrives!
xoxo,

Hi dear friends! My name is Stella and we met here on Sunny Slide up last February. The last time we chatted, I was ecstatic for my magical wedding at Mugdock Castle in Charleston, South Carolina.

Burton and I tied the knot in April 2013. As you’ll remember, we were soooo lucky to have 15 -year old Luna #woof join us for this special moment. I even had a wedding dress made for her, of course!
Monster Truck Getaway
We rode off in a monster truck, and then jetted off to Europe to celebrate our nuptials with my family in Germany. On the family farm!!

Along the way we scored a housesitting gig in Paris for a curious cat name Anna Blume. I showed Paris how to prancercize!!

We returned to the States six weeks later to send Luna off to her happy place, before settling into our new house in downtown Charleston. Bittersweet moments.

Ever since, we’ve been on the go-go-go and look forward to taking you along on our newly married adventures. This Fall we have plans for housesitting Asheville, celebrating our birthdays in Key West, and holiday craft market shopping in NYC, before ringing in the new year.
XOXO
