Hippity Hoppity Easter’s on its way!!!
Easter is right around the corner and for me, that means it is time to dye my easter eggs.
This year The Mister and I went with old faithful… PAAS!
We used the wax crayon and then decided to try the marble technique – it was new this year!
This was our little night of fun – writing hidden notes on the eggs that we would see after they were colored and acting like kids again for a few hours. Some people go ALL out on their Easter Eggs. I was working on some spring cleaning in my home office this past weekend. I have only lived in this house for 3 months, but when you have your own business and work from home things can stack up pretty quick.
My graphic design business was crazy busy when we moved in December and has been picking up speed ever since, so I haven’t really had a ton of time to spend on decorating the space. I just threw up what we already had from our old house. There are bookshelves stuffed full of my art and design books, some bright photos place right across from my computer, as well as my supplies pretty neatly organized in containers (thanks IKEA) ….but I definitely have big dreams for this space. Especially since I spend 60+ hours a week in here.
As you can see from this before picture, my office need some help….and on a positive note, I get great sunlight in the morning!
This past week I came across this poster…and I LOVE IT. I thought to myself – this is the kind of stuff I want up on my walls in my office!

Washi tape is all the rage now. I must confess, I have become a little obsessed with it myself.
Perfect to spruce up letters or packages, gift tags and gift wrap.

In case you are wondering what all of this “washi” talk is about, let me catch you up…
“Washi” is a style of paper that originated out of Japan. Fast forward about 1000+ years and now the process has been applied to tape.
It is the latest crafting craze and this stuff is popping up everywhere. I even saw a coupon in my Sunday paper the other weekend for Scotch Tape’s “Expressions” that looks very similar to washi tape. They cost about $2-5 a roll – check out Etsy.com for a ton of great washi tape stores. I bought the ones I have from a daily deal on The Plaid Barn.
Washi tape is basically decorative thin masking tape. You can get it in a million styles. And it’s very easy to use and can be used to dress up just about anything! Now, let me show you some of the cool stuff you can do with washi tape, most of them so simple and quick!
