Hippity Hoppity Easter’s on its way!!!
Easter is right around the corner and for me, that means it is time to dye my easter eggs.
This year The Mister and I went with old faithful… PAAS!
We used the wax crayon and then decided to try the marble technique – it was new this year!
This was our little night of fun – writing hidden notes on the eggs that we would see after they were colored and acting like kids again for a few hours. Some people go ALL out on their Easter Eggs. Have you SEEN what they are doing on pinterest these days? Click here to be taken to tons of inspiration.

I love that moment, the one when you are at a sporting event and everyone stands up, men remove their hats, some still put their hands on their heart and all is quiet until you hear the words to the star spangled banner. This moment lasts just a few minutes and then we are on to the game.
It is a shame, but it is times like this, and not every day that I think of the men and women that serve our country. I recently came across a story that stopped me dead in my tracks and take a moment to be grateful to our troops and all that they give up for us.
This is the amazing love story of Taylor Morris and his wife Danielle.
Taylor is a member of the US Navy and this is his story. Not only his story but also the one of the woman who has stood by his side – for better or worse. Truely an inspiration.
First I encourage you to click here to see their love story in 22 photos.
Without any words, these photos tell their amazing journey of love.
One of Taylor’s best friends is a photographer. Tim Dodd. He continues to capture their story.
You can read about Tim’s first time visit with Taylor.
The story of Taylor Walking
When Taylor came home.
And finally the story of when they went to NYC for the Today Show and a Yankees Game.
What a story of dedication and of love at its true sense.

There are many reasons why someone may need a meal. A new baby, recent surgery, death in the family, elderly that are unable to leave the home, and the list continues.
Recently I have had a lot of reasons to cook for others, so I thought I would share what I have seen work well to help you out with your next prepared meal!
SIGN UP FOR YOUR DAY TO COOK
The first thing to keep in mind is that you want to take food at the best time possible. The easiest way to keep track of this is by having a website that allows you to sign up for a day. This tells the family or individual that they can expect you on a certain night and it also tells others that they may want to pick another day, because you have this one covered!
Below are two websites that I have used that I know work well. You can enter in an address, contact information, and allergies and then those that are cooking can enter in the meal they are preparing so everyone is kept in the loop. They really do help!
1. Take Them A Meal
2. Sign Up Genius
TIPS FOR TAKING THE RIGHT FOOD AT THE RIGHT TIME
There are a few things to consider when you take food to someone. What to take the food in, how to communicate with the family, etc. See below for my list of tips!
Here are a few recipes to get you started. You will see that I really like the idea of casseroles or crock pot meals! One pot, easy to take, easy to eat, easy to save or freeze for leftovers!
1. LASAGNA: I suggest Pioneer Woman’s The Best Lasagna. Ever. 2. Mexican Casserole 3. Crock Pot Roast 4. Chicken and Rice Casserole 5. Breakfast Casserole.
What are your favorites? Do you have any tips for taking meals to others?
